We loved this hotel.The service was excellent.We were travelling with other couples so we ate here as well.Dinner was average,breakfast was great.

The rooms were great: very stylish and very spacious.

The location is excellent, staff very friendly, parking is also nearby

There is no lift is the small hotel, be prepared to take your luggage upstairs by the stairs

Hospitable, convenient and very comfortable. Ideal for a weekend city break or short business break needing access to City Centre or University.

Only downside is no lift so not suitable for those who could not cope with a steep climb to their room.

A fantastic charming hotel. Superb service and the best of locations. The rooms are impeccably kept, the staff highly attentive to every need, and simply a great experiance all around. We travel to Europe every year and the Netherlands is one of our favorite countries, being my wife is Dutch. We cannot say enough about this great hotel run in the tradition of old world charm. Located above a restaurant in Maastricht's most famous square, we will return again and again. This is simply an experiance not to be missed, with warm hospitality for a real Dutch experiance.

Staff were all very helpful and smiley. The room had been recently decorated and fitted out to a very high standard. Good location.

Not a good place for a relaxing stay - sleeping was very difficult. The large air vent from the kitchen was noisy and brought food smells straight into our room. Unfortunately even though a fan was provided the room was stiflingly hot.Would not be suitable for anyone infirm of disabled - lots of stairs to hotel itself and then even more to the rooms!

Room #6 is the uppermost room in front, with a great view of the Vrijthof. In February, the noise from the cafes downstairs could easily be shut out by closing the window. Inside, the room was spacious, beautiful with a modern design, a great bed, and the biggest bathtub We'd ever encountered in a hotelroom.

Breakfast is not included in the price of the room, which I always find a disagreeable thing. Worse, it's the most expensive breakfast to be had amongst the ten cafes offering it on the Vrijthof. For a person like me, who doesn't need more than a coffee and a single mouthful of solid food, €13.50 is really outrageous.

Room was at back of hotel with nauseating smells of food/deep frying. Rooms at front of hotel are more expensive but that would have been well worth it!

It was in one word super!!! :) The room was very big, with the most comfortable bed ever! The staff is very friendly and helpfull. We came around 12.15pm and we were already allowed into our room. The location is of course also perfect, directly on the Vrijthof. Free and good working wireless internet. And everything for a reasonable price!

There are no real negative things. As a tip, I would maybe say to put the password of the wireless internet in the hotel information booklet.

This is a tipical Brasserie with some rooms upstairs. The rooms are very nice: modern, spacious, clean and quiet. Worth of a three star hotel. The location is fantastic: in the city centre and the staff is helpful and kind.

Excellent location right on the city square. Good standard of cleanliness and friendly staff.

We booked the hotel as it is right on the square however we were put in Room 5 at the back of the hotel on the top floor with a duct from the kitchen right outside the window. Food smells were therefore in the room at all times. The Room was also stifling hot with just a small fan. No English information in the hotel information book, No English menu'S. Looking at other reviews now, I think the English are always put at the back of the hotel.

Good, clean rooms. Staff very helpfull with excellent attitude. Great locatin, just in the city centre.

We arrived late in the afternoon, when the main city square was packed with people. No visible signage of the hotel made it very hard to find. Needed to park the car good 500m away and look for the hotel. Car park is 100 m away and needed to walk with the suitcases all the way to the hotel. No air condition in the rooms. Could not open the window because of the smell from the kitchen.

Excellent friendly and helpful staff. Nice room and the bed was extremely comfortable. Location excellent. Hotel is in a prime position to shops, restaurants etc but the room was very sound proof(excellent again!). Would 100% stay again.

The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in and the room was beautifully decorated. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the location of the hotel was ideal with lots of restaurants around the square.

The room was lovely but it was very warm and as there was a heating duct/extractor from the kitchen right outside our window it was noisy if we had the windows open. There was a huge fan in the room but that was very loud too when we tried that. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room with a supermarket nearby meant that we could buy croissants etc for breakfast as the cost of breakfast in the hotel was €13.95 each for the usual cheese, ham, bread etc.

Very good room. Good Breakfast choices. Excellent staff Very good cost benefit. Good internet access.

Very difficult stairs and no elevator. Carpet floor in the room instead of wood. No air conditioning.
